Lorenzo De Angeli

Lorenzo De Angeli is a Principal at Matterwave Ventures. He brings 10 years of experience as energy and cleantech expert at the Boston Consulting Group, where he led assignments for utilities, energy players and infrastructure funds across Europe, Asia and the Middle East and advised the Italian Government on hydrogen, cleantech and energy topics. The expertise he developed at BCG revolves around strategy, M&A, identification of investment opportunities and post-acquisition value creation.

Before BCG, he advised PE funds and angel investors on cleantech investment opportunities as part of one of most notable energy focused family offices in Italy and started off his career as junior scientist at ENI, bridging the gap between academia and industrial applications in the field of innovative materials. Lorenzo holds a M.Sc. in Physics summa cum laude from the University of Stuttgart and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, where he graduated in 2007.
